LVR-Niederrheinmuseum Wesel

(Lower Rhine Museum)

The Lower Rhine even has its own museum here

And it is currently reinventing itself. The LVR Lower Rhine Museum Wesel is becoming a museum for families with a permanent exhibition full of stories about life by the river - modern, media-based and full of emotion. And international, with a view to our neighbours in the Netherlands and Belgium!

ATTENTION: TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF THE MUSEUM DUE TO REMODELLING

The LVR-Niederrheinmuseum is entering the final phase of its conversion into a new permanent exhibition. The museum is therefore expected to remain closed until the end of February 2025. However, the museum will be offering guided tours of the building site and other events in the meantime. You can find information on the dates in our events calendar! There will also be small insights into the new permanent exhibition in the Stadtwerke Watertower. So it's well worth a visit!
