Three boulders form the stable base for the city model in front of the Berliner Gate. The bronze model shows the current buildings and squares in Wesel. The historically grown, city structures can be easily seen here. You can see citadels, Willibrordi Cathedral and the Berliner Gate not just at a glance -- those with poor vision can now feel Wesel and discover the structures of the buildings and squares with their hands.
If you look (or feel) closer, you will come across something curious. The radio tower known as "Langer Heinrich" was placed in the Heubergpark.
The bronze city model was created upon order by the Wesel Senior's Advisory and with the support of over 150 sponsors, on the occasion of the 775th city anniversary in 2016.
