Wesel culture night for adults
Wesel turns into a stage for one night when the cultural scene of the city meets and performs during culture night. In 2002, this event was born within the scope of the action "Ab in die Mitte! - Die City-Offensive NRW" and attracts new groups of visitors from year to year. The variety of Wesel cultural life cannot be felt more intensely during any other event - and entrance is free. The constantly changing program, of both indoor and open-air events, showcases the scope of artistic creation and ensures fascinating insights into the vibrant cultural life of the city of Wesel.
Children and culture
On the occasion of the World Children's Day, which was celebrated in 2014 at the same time as the culture night, the children's culture night came into being. "Culture for Kids" has been held every year since then on the third Saturday in September.
As a "pre-program" to the annual culture night for "adults", countless offers of music, art, literature, dance and theatre for children are available starting at six. Children can watch and participate in a colourful world of culture at many different locations - with a lot of fun and games occurring at each place.
A look behind-the-scenes at the theatre, a musical discovery tour through the music and art school or the chance to try oriental dance - these are just a few of the diverse programs that children can experience free of charge. The special thing: Participating and creating are in the foreground. As a "reward", kids can take part in a raffle at the end and win great prizes.
